When I first meet someone, I usually manage to somehow wiggle into the conversation the fact that I used to live in New York. It's an immediate snippet of conversation, right up there with "No, not like the Disney character, like the city in Italy." {insert internal eye roll} {okay, external} For a million reasons too numerous to enumerate, I am so, so, so in love with NYC. The perfectly styled Kipling, who absolutely refuses to be photographed in full. I'll get you someday, my pretty!! Also, I'll take one of everything you're wearing. Lovely, as usual. |

Geeked out over a tour of GQ's offices, but left slightly heartbroken after discovering that Ryan Gosling does not, in fact, roam the halls in his shirtless, Hey Girl glory. Luckily, it's a requirement to be good looking and well dressed at GQ {or so it would seem}, so, you know, I was fine. |

Caught a glimpse of teenVOGUE across the hall, the magazine to which I may or may not have subscribed until I was, oh, 23 or so... |
Until next time, New York!
