Roof with a view.

A few Saturdays ago Jordan and I rolled out of bed and up to our roof, with a quick pit stop in the kitchen to throw a little breakfast together. This was the last weekend where the DC leaves were brilliantly colorful--we started noticing a difference even the next day. So glad we were able to catch this view before it browned away (we all know how much I--okay AND EVERY OTHER GIRL WITH A BLOG--love foliage).

^ L: Just the prettiest curved building, in my opinion. Reminds me of some of the buildings at Columbia, my alma mater. R: Freddy the Leaves!

And this is where just for a moment I gush about this wonderful place in which we live. This roof is just the most perfect spot for leaf viewing and cathedral spotting, not to mention people watching. And you haven't heard about our Fourth of July because my camera was stolen just shortly thereafter (on the mean streets of Oakland no less), but let's just say we had a 360 degree view of no fewer than fifteen different simultaneous firework shows in three different states, including the big ones over the National Mall. We are lucky little newlyweds, that's for sure. Anyway, excited to host a shin dig up there when the weather warms up a bit, but quite willing to brave the cold even now, so come over!
