For the Fourth of July week, my family headed on a little road trip to Moab, Utah, with an overnight pit stop at the Grand Canyon. Jordan had to stay behind in LA for work, so it was just the original six for this trip.
For the rest of the week we stayed at Sorrel River Ranch Resort, a family favorite just outside Moab on the Colorado River. Unsurprisingly, I'm not really an outdoorsy type, but a resort nestled against the red rock is just picturesque enough for me to overlook the buggies and dirt.
^ The creepy/charming garden shed on the property is one of my favorite spots at the resort.
A few adventures around Moab:
And finally, a Fourth of July evening spent in a neighborhood park in downtown Moab watching the fireworks. They were...fine. I realized I'm a little spoiled after having spent the last four Independence Days watching the capitol fireworks in Washington, DC. Color me homesick, I guess.
