A Weekend in Palm Springs at the Parker.

This past weekend Jordan and I went on a quick weekend getaway to Palm Springs. Since we were only there for about 48 hours, we pretty much just stuck around our hotel, wandering its gorgeous grounds and frolicking in the pool to escape the heat. We stayed at a resort I've been dying to visit for a little while, The Parker, which is quite the oasis in the otherwise barren desert outside LA. The grounds were perfectly lush and overgrown, with sweet paths and pockets hidden everywhere.

^ On this trip we discovered that we both love croquet! A thrilling discovery for a couple that shares, like, two interests.

The interior was designed by Jonathan Adler, so you know I died the moment I walked into the quirky space:

^ This ledge is my spirit animal.

One of my must-eats in NYC is Norma's, at the Parker on 56th, so I was delighted to learn that this parker *also* has a Norma's. Needless to say, we brunched there both mornings, which is basically my version of heaven.

^ Much-needed cool mist in the 100 degree desert heat.

Since we're staying with my family for the summer, it's been a while since it's been just the two of us. We loved this spot so much, and it was the perfect little escape--in fact, we {I} have decided this will be our go-to weekend getaway spot once we're settled back down in LA for good.
