Christmas Pretty: Kitschy Miniatures.
Far from home and without our own holiday decorations, we've hardly decorated our apartment here in Germany for Christmas. Aside from a poinsettia plant here and a gingerbread-scented candle there, one likely wouldn't know we were celebrating the holiday at all. We won't even be in our apartment on Christmas, but rather cozied up at Le Meridien in Budapest.
So for this holiday season, contenting myself with living vicariously through others' holiday decor. Loved these photos of Alison Faulkner's home, which seems to be exploding with adorable, kitschy miniature Christmas scenes. Would love to translate this into a dinner party tablescape for our own holiday decorating next year.
Anyone who can work pink into their Christmas decor (and break out of the typical red + green scheme) is doing something wonderful for the world.
Getting into the holiday spirit musically, if not decoratively...
